The Chicago Hounds and Northman Cider Join Forces in Exciting Partnership
CHICAGO, IL (February 20, 2024)- The Chicago Hounds announced today a partnership with Northman Cider, a leading cider known for its commitment to quality and craftsmanship that was founded in Chicago in 2016. This collaboration aims to bring together two homegrown entities that share a desire to create memorable experiences for their fans.
As part of this partnership, Northman Cider will proudly serve as the Official Cider of the Chicago Hounds. Combining the refreshing and vibrant flavors of their handcrafted ciders with the high-energy atmosphere of professional rugby, and Dawg Town in particular, this partnership promises to take fan experiences to new heights.
James English, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of the Chicago Hounds, expressed enthusiasm for this new partnership, stating, “The partnership between Northman Cider and our Chicago Hounds embodies a shared commitment to passion, excellence, and community. This partnership offers an unique opportunity for both organizations to create a memorable experience for fans and showcase our shared values.”
Originally founded in 2016, the Northman Pub was Chicago’s first Cider centric bar and restaurant. The Pub began to make their own cider, initially intended as a welcome drink for their guests, but soon realized that most of the Pub’s clientele preferred the Northman welcome cider. The Northman location soon evolved into a large venue on the iconic Chicago Riverwalk, showcasing ciders to a global audience, and Northman Cider Company was born. Northman Cider was born in a pub for patrons of the pub, meant to be delicious on its own and be the perfect pairing drink for a wide array of cheeses and various cuisines.
“We will work tirelessly together to elevate the fan experience, celebrate the sport of rugby, and foster connections within the community we were both founded in,” concluded English.
